Health Care Reform

It finally happened. Health Care reform passed. I can’t believe it.

Anyone who knows me, or has read up on my blog, I’ve been unemployed for a while now… and I have no insurance. Of course, I’m not the only one – there are millions of people in my situation.

I know the bill that was passed isn’t perfect, but it’s about damn time America did something about the awful health care system we have here.

Haiti Earthquake

The people of Haiti need your help!

On January 12, 2010, Haiti was struck by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake, the country’s most severe earthquake in over 200 years.

Widespread damage resulted from the quake, with a majority of buildings collapsing due to poor structural design and construction. The capital city was devastated. (more…)

Happy New Year!!!

Well, 2009 is over, and it’s officially 2010 (at least here where I am, USA – Eastern Time).

I hope you all have had a great year in 2009, and that it carries over to 2010.

Pray for Brody

Today I’d like to write about a very young boy named Brody. I came to know of him from twitter, in a retweet by @meganmchapman.

In September of this year, Brody had crawled out of a doggie door at his baby sitters. He subsequently fell into a swimming pool, and went into coma. He is at home now, and still going through treatment, and appears to be progressing daily.
