If you look to the right of the blog, in the sidebar, you’ll now notice a ChipIn widget. Normally I wouldn’t do this, but hopefully there will be some nice folks out there that may possibly chipin

I’m trying to raise funds for a new computer. The one I have just isn’t cutting it anymore. It’s affecting everything, including my programming. The PC I have now is 4 years old, which is more like 10+ years old with how fast the computer world moves/advances.

So if you have a paypal account, like me or my blog, and would like to help out - ChipIn! :D

Well, tomorrow (5/20/2008) is our primary here in Kentucky. This will be my first time voting! So I’m nervous, and not too sure why really. Oh well, I’ll get over it I guess.

Over the past few months, I’ve been watching both Clinton and Obama - speeches, debates, etc. I’m a Democrat, btw, let’s get that out of the way first.

I’ve been joking over the past few months how I would never vote for Clinton, cause she’s a woman. Well, that’s not the truth. When it comes down to it, it’s not because Clinton is a woman, it’s because I don’t feel she’s the best candidate. And honestly, I don’t think she could win it for us against McCain (that crazy bastid!).

So, all things considered, I will be voting for Obama (if my “network bar” Obama ‘08 didn’t make it clear to you  ). Not only am I voting for him in the primary, but I will be voting for him when it comes November as well. (kind of a “duh!” there eh?)

Who are you voting for?

I recently had to move, and was without internet for about two weeks. I used to be on DSL and was too cheap to buy cable (albeit, cable hadn’t offered good speeds where I was). At the new place, I’m now on 6MB cable, and I love it!

I don’t know how I went all these years without it.

… thank everyone for the support for me, my mother, and family. My mother had her surgery today, and overall, things are good. They were able to remove the tumor, and it appears it did not spread to anywhere else. However, we won’t know for 100% sure until a few tests come in on Friday.

Thanks again everyone

UPDATE: 11/27/2007

About a month ago I posted about my mother having Stage III Pancreatic Cancer. The doctors have decided that she is a candidate for surgery, and have scheduled her surgery for November 19th. The surgery will be the “Whipple“, which can be a dangerous surgery.

Please keep her in your prayers, especially on that day. I’ve gotten comments and emails from quite a few people, you’ll never know how much I appreciate it.

I don’t know how many actually read and/or subscribe to my blog, but…

I found out yesterday that my mother has Stage III Pancreatic Cancer. It is the 3rd or 4th most deadly cancer; and it’s the worst of all cancers on survival rate.

I’m mainly making this post to get things off my chest, but I’d also like to ask that any of you reading this.. please, please keep my mother in your prayers; you don’t even know how much I’d appreciate it, and how much it’d help.

Also, if any of you reading this have gone through something similar, I’d appreciate any information on this cancer you could give me. I’ve already gotten information on CTCA, PanCan, and org’s like that; but anything you think is helpful, please let me know. Every little bit helps.

Thank you in advance.
